The Renaissance Fund acquires category leading catalog and Internet retail companies selling niche products. At acquisition, Renaissance Fund companies have revenues less than $50 million and common foundational characteristics:

  • Sell products primarily via the Internet and/or catalog;
  • Sell products that require merchandising, service and selection;
  • Sell products to enthusiasts – customers that are passionate users; and
  • Sell products not widely available at retail.

 

The Renaissance Fund actively operates acquired companies. At acquisition, Renaissance Fund companies may either have existing management or management that chooses to exit upon sale. At acquisition, Renaissance Fund companies may be either healthy or troubled.
